The Nest, reviewed: Elliott Bay's best sunset seat
By the Seattle Rooftops crew · · 1 min read
Perched on top of the Thompson Hotel just above Pike Place Market, The Nest is the rooftop most Seattleites point to first — and for good reason. The view sweeps across Elliott Bay to the Olympics, and on a clear evening the sunset here is hard to beat anywhere in the city.
What to expect
The space is split between an indoor lounge and an open-air deck with fire pits. It fills up fast on summer weekends, so aim for a weekday or get there right at opening if you want a rail-side seat.
What to order
The cocktail list rotates seasonally and leans craft. Prices are hotel-bar level, but you’re paying for the real estate — and it delivers.
Best time to go: golden hour, roughly an hour before sunset.
