Why this site exists
I'm a software engineer living in Kirkland, just across the lake. Rooftops are how I fell for this city: it's the only place I know where one drink comes with water, mountains, ferries, and half a dozen construction cranes in the same view — and when the sun is out here, being indoors feels like a waste.
The blog started as a messy note on my phone. Every friend who visited asked the same question — "where should we get a drink with a view?" — and every summer I'd retype the same list with the same warnings about broken heaters and unbookable rail seats. At some point it was easier to build the website. This is that note, cleaned up and kept current, one visit at a time.
